| The expression “nylon” denotes POLYAMIDE, which is the raw material utilised to make SapiSelco products. Nylon is a layman’s term used to define thermoplastic materials, the salient characteristic of which is their elasticity, i.e. their ability to deform in response to stress and then resume their original shape when the applied force is removed. Polyamide also possesses excellent dielectric properties and features a very low rate of flame propagation: this is one of the main reasons underpinning the widespread use of polyamide in the electrotechnical industry. |
